Zeducorp was established in the early 1980s to develop computer programs for IBM and Heath/Zenith personal computers. During the firm's first 15 years of existence, a series of commercial software programs were designed and written, using the PL/I, Basic, and Dataflex languages. Many of these were multi-user programs, designed for use on Novell networks. More recently, the company has focused more on website development and targeted online marketing.
Zeducorp has developed a series of educational and informative niche websites that are designed for English-speaking audiences. Noteworthy among these projects are a United States map website and fifty state map websites.
Zeducorp Mascot and Slogan
Zeducorp Zebra
Zeducorp's mascot is the black and white zebra, which complements the company's slogan: "What's black and white, and runs all over? Zeducorp software!" Our unusual company name originated with our first software products - educational software and text editors for Zenith personal computers. Indeed, our first serious personal computer was a Heathkit H-8 with 32 KB RAM, an 8-inch floppy disk drive, and a Zenith Z-89 terminal. The microprocessor was an Intel 8080, running at 2 MHz. Computers have come a long way since those early days of 8-bit microprocessors, S-100 bus computers, hobby computer shows, and CP/M operating systems. Today, personal computer memory is measured in gigabytes instead of kilobytes, and processor speeds are measured in gigahertz. Computers store their data on hard disk drives, solid state disk drives, and flash memory sticks. User interfaces are graphical and intuitive rather than textual and command-based. And most computers are networked to the World Wide Web.
Zeducorp Digital Arts Division
During the last 10 years, digital photography, videography, and graphic arts have become important technologies in contemporary website designs. Zeducorp's digital arts division offers these services and solutions to clients and website developers. For these projects, we generally use a Nikon D50 6 megapixel digital camera with a Nikkor 18-55mm zoom lens as well as Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Elements.
The logo for this division incorporates the Zeducorp zebra and also reflects the design and digital arts concept.
